The Oh Art Foundation is proud to present the 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival of the Arts, an expansive multi-gallery experience celebrating the stories, dualities, and cultural richness of the Latino/a/x experience in the U.S., opening Friday, September 19, 2025, at Oh Art Foundation and Zhou B Art Center.

The main exhibition Nuestra Tierra: Here and There is designed to showcase the interwoven lives and dual identities of first to third-generation Mexican-American immigrants. By displaying works that incorporate traditional Mexican muralism and contemporary art practices, the show offers a rich tapestry of symbols, narratives, and artistic methods that articulate the complex identities of its artists. The dualities of "here" and "there"—both symbolically and culturally— are navigated and expressed through a vibrant artistic lens.

Each participating artist contributes their unique perspective, influenced by their generational ties to both Mexican and American cultures. The influence of their muralist backgrounds is particularly poignant, echoing the grandeur and accessibility of Mexico’s public art tradition while infusing it with modern aesthetic and thematic concerns. This blend of the historic and the contemporary not only enriches the artistic dialogue within the exhibition but also makes it profoundly accessible and resonant with diverse audiences.

Located in the Second Floor Gallery, the main exhibition brings together nine Mexican- American artists—Arsenio Baca, Cesar Viveros, Julio Mendoza, Liz Gonzalez, Luis Novoa, Mario Figueroa, Pablo Helm Hernandez, Sergio Gomez, and Yesenia Mejia.
